Always Check your Options..

In my hunt to make our life more simple and save money, I can say I don’t always think about all of our options on some things. Earlier this week my husband had mentioned needing to pick up dog food while making a run to the grocery store because we were out of our large bag of normal food, Diamond Naturals, that we get at our local Menards. I was thinking about that today and checked my email to see if I had received any good coupons from Chewy.com.. The time before, we had purchased 2 bags from them with a coupon I received in the mail that allowed us to get free shipping because our order was over $49.00 and we ended up saving $10.00 or so versus what we would have spent at Menards. After checking my email, no good coupons, and checking Menards, 11% off everything sale - awesome! ..  but it ends today and we’ve already been out of the house once so not making another trip. On a whim I thought, let’s check Amazon. Turns out, Amazon, Meanard’s and Chewy.com all sell our dog food for the same price. But, Amazon had a coupon today that gave you 40% off your first order if your set up subscribe and save. Now, we had subscribe & save on A LOT of things a few years back and A LOT of those things weren’t necessities so I have definitely taking a step back from subscription services. But, we have dogs.. We are always going to have dogs and they will always need to eat. If I can save 20 bucks today on 1 bag and know that we have something we need delivered to our doorstep every month for the same price and less gas then it would take us to drive across town then I am game. As I work through my journey to identity what we need and want in our home, it’s good to remember that there are options for everything. Once I decide on something that is going to be a standby in our home, I can seek to find the best option for us. I encourage you to do the same!
